This auction is for a 5 3/4"x8 1/4" 550 page gray cloth hardcover-no dustjacket, "The Flowering of New England 1815-1865"-A book on the literary history of New England, by Van Wyck Brooks, and published by The Modern Library in 1936.

This book is in Fair condition with some cover staining, 1 1/4" tear on the back cover spine edge, minor tears at the top and bottom of the spine and one corner on the cover, tight binding, lightly tan pages.

As a BONUS, The second volume in this series, "New England: Indian Summer 1865-1915", by Van Wyck Brooks, with some notations will be included with this auction!
